Is there anything cuter than a puppy?

Is there anything cuter than a puppy? Maybe, but it would be a real competition if you thought you found something that was, although one possibility that comes to mind would be a young kid holding a puppy. And that image calls to mind a story—a story which might even be true.

A young boy sat on the curb, looking quite forlorn. He held an adorable spotted puppy which didn’t look particularly happy either. The boy had propped a homemade sign up next to him that said "Puppy for Sale."

A man walking by on his way home from work noticed the sign. “That’s a nice looking dog you have there, son. How much do you want for him?”

“I’d like $1000 dollars for him, sir,” the boy replied hopefully.

“Well that seems like a fair price for such a good looking pup. I hope you can sell him.” And the man walked on.

A few days later, the man saw the boy out playing in his yard. He asked him if he’d sold his dog.

“Yes. I think he went to a good home just down the street.”

“Did you get your price?” the man asked.

The boy grinned and said, “Oh, yes! I traded him for two $500 kittens.”

And is there anything cuter than kittens…..?
